End of a fantastic year

What a year we’ve had. With over 40 events managed and arranged Softley Events has had a fantastic year. We are very excited about 2011 as our calendar is already filling up with some very prestigious events from the Royal Norfolk Show Ball, corporate parties to rugby club dinners and of course an abundance of weddings. In addition to our current services there are some exciting developments on the horizon so be sure to which this space.

We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year from the Softley Events team.

Our busiest month to date.

With only 4 weeks to go until our 4th Think Pink Ball activity is building up as are the pink and circus themed items in our office. We can even occasionally be found working whilst wearing red noses.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of some of our suppliers many of whom have gone above and beyond the call of duty sourcing circus themed items for us.

Of course Think Pink is just one of many events we are involved in and August is proving to be our busiest month yet with a host of weddings and parties.

We were also delighted to have been shortlisted for the EDP’s Customer Care Award which is a great honour.

A diverse week and a new venue

Last week saw a very diverse combination of events for us from a dinner and christening in the glorious sunshine to the annual dinner at Wymondham Rugby Club which was attended by over 350 guests. The evening was a huge success and guests were thoroughly entertained by Welsh international Scott Quinnell. Varierty is one of the great things about our work.

We are  also very excited about the new West Wing at Kimberley Hall which is due for completion this weekend. It really is a stunning venue and  one that we are very proud to manage. We would highly recommend a viewing if you are looking for a venue for your wedding, party or corporate event. This is going to be a venue to book early.

A great start to 2010

Happy New Year. With the arrival of a new year and decade I am very excited about the future of Softley Events. As well as many private and corporate events already booked for the year ahead we have several public events that we are very excited about. I am very proud to be chairing the committee of the Think Pink Ball once again this year. This year we are raising money for 3 breast cancer charities. This is an incredibly popular event and more details can be found in the news section and on our events section. Do book your tickets early as we are always oversubscribed. We are also delighted to once again be helping Wymondham Rugby Club with their Annual Players Dinner which this year will see former British Lion Scott Quinell as the speaker. Again details can be found on our events page.

This Friday I have been invited by BBC Radio Norfolk to once again be a 'Lady at Lunch' on their first program of the new year. This is always good fun and do listen in if you can between 12 and 1pm - who knows what we will be talking about.

Happy Christmas

After a very busy 2009 our events for the festive period are drawing to an end. This year we have been very lucky to work in some stunning locations with some fantastic clients and all those who have worked on the events either front of house or behind the scenes are to be congratulated on a very successful year. Hours can be very long in this business and I hope that they all enjoy a rest over the Christmas season.

So what is in store for 2010. As well as many weddings, parties and corporate events we are also delighted to be working with Wymondham Rugby Club on their very popular annual Players Dinner, further details of which can be found on our calender, and will also be organising their Summer Ball . Then of course there is the Think Pink Ball which will be held on Friday 10th Septemebr 2010. Further details will be released in the New Year but do put this in your diary as tickets are always snapped up when released.

It just remains to wish you a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.  19 December 2009.
