Venue - Sennowe Park

Sennowe Park

Sennowe Park is a hidden paradise in the heart of rural Norfolk.

The magnificent Edwardian country house is bursting with intricate and original detail, from the oak panelling and stained glass windows, to the impressive roof statues and ornate carved ceilings. Painstakingly cared for by the family, who are descendants of Thomas Albert Cook, who originally built the property, many of the rooms feature original decor such as the wallpaper, murals or bathroom tiles, which seamlessly blend with more modern luxuries, for example walk-in showers and plush carpets.

Every room also boasts spectacular views across the acres of mature gardens and park which surround the house. As well as the tiered lawns with original stone balustrade and stone steps leading to each level, there is a tranquil lake with its own boathouse and extensive parkland adorned with mature trees. The exquisite ‘winter garden’ also offers an ideal retreat to cope with the British weather; with glass walls and ceiling, and marble columned fountain, it creates an indoor sanctuary whilst retaining the atmosphere of being outside.

Softley Events is delighted to now include Sennowe Park as one of the venues of distinction exclusively managed by us here in Norfolk. The house and grounds offer a dramatic backdrop for any occasion, with multiple options for marquee sites. The opportunities for entertaining in the main house are also boundless, from dinner parties in the dining room, drinks receptions in the ‘long room’ or garden parties in the ‘winter garden’, Sennowe Park truly is a unique and elaborate venue for the region. In addition, there is the possibility of opulent accommodation, comprising six double bedrooms and one single, spread over two floors, all with stunning views across the estate and their own bathroom facilities.
